How it works

Everything from picking your shed to the last screw, including what's included, what costs extra and how long each step takes.

  1. Pick your shed and see the price

Choose wood or aluminum, a size, your colors and any options. The price you see includes the build on your property and leveling. Sales tax and any permit fee are added at checkout.

  2. Tell us about the spot

Send a few photos of where the shed is going and tell us how much it slopes. Leveling on our concrete blocks is included up to 10 inches. Past that, it's $7 for each extra block. If the shed would sit more than about 2 feet off the ground, we'll suggest a flatter spot or talk through other options with you.

Some counties require sheds to sit behind the house. We'll let you know if yours does.

  3. Reserve with 25% down

Sign the agreement online and pay a 25% deposit by card. You'll get a copy of everything by email. See deposits and refunds for what happens if plans change.

  4. Site check and permit

We contact you within two business days to set up a site check. If your county requires a permit, we pull it for you. That's a $250 filing fee plus the county's permit fee, usually around $50 to $150. Approval usually takes 7 to 10 business days, sometimes longer.

  5. Build day

We give you a build date from our current schedule once your order and any permit are in place. Aluminum sheds are built in one day. Wood sheds take two or three days, then a day or two to caulk and paint.

  6. Pay the balance

The rest is due when your shed is finished. Financing is available through Foundation Finance, subject to credit approval.
